Rules

Theme: Muslim Unity - a depiction of afflictions due to Muslim disunity

1. Eligibility
Open to participants of all ages and skill levels. Individual submissions only.

2. Theme Guidelines

  • Reflect the theme of Muslim Unity, especially amidst the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
  • Any form of expression that raises awareness, inspires empathy, or portrays the impact of the ongoing crisis is encouraged, emphasizing Muslim unity.

3. Materials and Medium

  • Bring your own art materials (e.g., paints, pencils, markers, canvases, papers).
  • Acceptable mediums:
    • Traditional (drawing, painting, etc.)

4. Event Date and Timing

  • Date: 12th Nov, 2024
  • Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (2 hours)
  • This is a live event; participants will create their artwork onsite within the allotted time.

5. Judging Criteria and Scoring

Each artwork will be judged on these criteria:

  • Adherence to Theme: How well the artwork aligns with the theme (0-25 points)
  • Creativity & Originality: Uniqueness of concept and creative approach (0-20 points)
  • Technical Skill: Mastery of medium, including detail and proportion (0-20 points)
  • Emotional Impact: Ability to evoke emotions and convey the intended message (0-20 points)
  • Narrative and Storytelling: Effectiveness in conveying the depth of the theme (0-15 points)

Total Possible Score: 100 points

  • Judges will provide scores for each criterion, with a total score out of 100.
  • Highest-scoring artwork will win first place, followed by the second-highest.

6. Prizes

  • Winner: 10k
  • Runner-up: 5k

7. Art Exhibition
After the competition, artworks will be exhibited. Participants may sell their work if desired.

8. General Rules

  • All artworks must be original and created solely by the participant(s).
  • Artwork containing hate speech or discriminatory elements will be disqualified.
  • By entering, participants consent to their work being displayed and shared for promotional purposes.
  • Art representing living beings, especially humans and animals, is not allowed.
